STORY

MY

Ellie Sanders lives in rural Hampshire, in the United Kingdom, with her partner and two troublesome dogs....

I have a BA Hons degree in English and American Literature with Creative Writing, and enjoy spending my time, when not endlessly writing, exploring the countryside around my beautiful home.

Best known for my pitch black series, 'The Brethren Lords', including, 'Deviant' & 'Depravity'. I like to delve deep into the psychological and traumatic side of storywriting, with my books often leaving my readers huddled up in a corner, while they silently sob.

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME

  1. I'm definitely an explorer at heart and love to travel! I lived in China for four years and can even speak Mandarin!

  2. My favourite place in the whole world is Wadi Rum. It's a beautiful desert in Jordan and the rock formations are absolutely incredible - you can literally get lost for days there! There's also no light pollution so the stars are breathtaking.

  3. I'm a massive, massive history nerd. One of my favourite genres is non-fiction historical biographies and I will talk for days about the Plantagenets so don't get me started!

  4. My brain likes to soak up obscure facts like a sponge so I'm great for pub quizzes, just not the sports round.

  5. I don't know my times tables. My maths teacher stupidly told me I'd never pass GCSE maths without them - so I proved her wrong. Not sure that's something to boast about now, though.

  6. I drink my coffee like I write my books: black, strong, and slightly toxic.

  7. I LOVE AITA posts on a certain website - I once plotted an entire book from one of those.

  8. I taught myself to touch my nose with my tongue because I was bored when I was eight. No one is as impressed with that fact as they should be.

  9. I often get very deep into the headspace of my characters and will carry on feeling their emotions long after I've walked away from my writing. My poor partner has to deal with that on a regular basis.

  10. I had a kettle of boiling water poured on me as a baby so my body is covered in fun scars - it used to be a party trick to see how many pins I could stick in my arm before people freaked out.
